GameOpSys
Gamification for optimizing the energy consumption of buildings and higher-level systems
The central goal is to develop a smartphone app that will function in the energy optimization and planning of buildings, neighborhoods and higher-level energy systems through the participation of users. Users should both adapt their behavior to the available amount of renewable energy and act as a source of data and information. The development of the app is interdisciplinary and integrates mathematical simulation and optimization methods with psychological questions regarding the behavior of users to develop new business models and open up new markets.
