Close relationships are an essential aspect of human life. Through them, basic needs can be satisfied and they can contribute to psychological well-being and health. In this area of work, we are dedicated to researching relationship processes that are associated with relationship satisfaction and commitment, among other things. Gender also plays a role here insofar as women and men are socialized differently and therefore bring different expectations and experiences to a relationship.
Gender (psychological gender) is part of further research in the field of work. Gender stereotypes can have a significant influence on how we judge other people. Changes in our social environment can also be accompanied by changes in stereotypes. Various processes, such as language, can be of significance here.
